February: Dreaming and Aspiring

Happy 2022, friends!

I must say, the last couple months seem to have flown by. I struggled a bit with lack of inspiration and found myself comparing how productive everyone else seemed to be and how unproductive I had been and decided to just take a break until I found some creative drive again. For those of you suffering with art block or just lack of motivation you are not alone. Don’t beat yourself up over it. Give yourself time and dive into other things that bring you fulfillment. (Hugs!)

One thing that I have felt drawn to is reading. I hadn’t read a good novel for quite a while and so I am going to try to read as much as possible this year. And, rather than making a list, I designed a book log to fill in as I go. Fun, right?!

This illustration is now available in my Shop for digital download. You can color it if you like and hang on the fridge or keep it near your special reading place and see how many books you can get through this year like I am. Each book has a blank spine for you to write in and once they are filled in it would make a super cute illustration to hang in your library to commemorate a year in reading!

Quotes for Inspiration:

“A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies . . . The man who never reads lives only one.” -George R. R. Martin

“For in dreams we enter a world that is entirely our own.” -Professor Dumbledore, J. K. Rowling
